Hawa Mahal, Jaipur
Hawa Mahal or "The Palace of Winds", is situated to one side, but it is a part of the City Palace Complex. The best view that one can catch about this monument is from the street outside.


City Palace, Udaipur
The City Palace stands on a low ridge all along the shores of the Pichola Lake. It is known as the largest palace complex in Rajasthan with a huge structure consisting of several palaces within.


Havelis of Shekhawati
Shekhawati as a region is known for its beautifully painted Havelis. The Havelis of old-Delhi somehow bring back the memories of Mughals and Mirza Ghalib.


Jaisalmer Havelis
Patwon ki Haveli is the most elaborate and magnificent of all the Havelis situated within the desert city of Jaisalmer. Salim Singh ki Haveli was built about 300 years ago and is still partially lived in.


Lake Palace, Udaipur
Also known as Jag Niwas, this stunning palace aflots on Lake Pichola. Formerly the residing place of the royals, the Lake Palace of Udaipur has now become a heritage hotel and is considered one of the best hotels in the world.


Umaid Bhawan Palace
This palace has the unique distinction of being the only palace built in 20th century. It was constructed in 16 years as a famine relief measure. It is also called Chittar Palace because of the particular type of sandstone used.


Lalgarh Palace, Bikaner
Sir Swinton Jacob designed the imposing red sand stone monument for Maharaja Ganga Singh. The palace has beautiful latticework and filigree work.


Jaisalmer Fort
Jaisal Bhatti built the Jaisalmer fort in 1156 AD on Trikuta hills. The citadel contains within it, one fourth of the city's population.


Amber Fort
Amber is the old capital of Dundhar or the erstwhile Jaipur State. Within the ramparts of the fort is the palace of Amber having Diwan-i-am, Diwan-i-khas, Sukh Niwas, Jas Mahal, decorated with pillars, carvings, inlaid, mirrors and paintings.
